TL;DR

ANTAR collects no personal data. Your device specifications, hardware details, battery usage logs, network properties, and sensor metrics are processed and displayed entirely on your device. No data is stored on external servers or sold to third parties.

Who We Are

Antar - Device info (package: com.ashes.dev.works.system.core.internals.antar) is an Android hardware-audit utility. This policy describes how your information is handled locally. By design, ANTAR keeps all parsed data on your physical device.

Information We Do Not Collect

No sign-up, login, account creation, or online identity required.

ANTAR does not collect, transmit, or save on any external database:

  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII) — Name, email, profile photos, or contact cards.
  • Phone numbers, IMEI, or hardware serial numbers — The Phone permission group (READ_PHONE_STATE and READ_PHONE_NUMBERS) is completely removed. ANTAR does not request or collect these details.
  • Google Advertising ID — The advertising identifier permission (AD_ID) has been removed. We do not read or track your advertising logs.
  • Usage Analytics — No tracking tools (Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.) are included.
  • Crash Reporting — No outbound diagnostics or crash telemetry are shared.
  • Media or files — Your files, directories, and documents are never opened or indexed.
Pre-submission Audit Affirmation: ANTAR does not collect or transmit your phone number, IMEI, hardware serial, or Google Advertising ID. Earlier versions read these values; the current version does not request the underlying permissions.

What the App Stores — On Your Device Only

All user configurations and statistics persist locally inside Android's private app sandbox. This data never leaves your device:

  • App Settings & Theme preferences — Your select modes (System, Light, Dark) and Dynamic Colors toggle are stored in Android SharedPreferences (antar_theme_prefs).
  • Battery history logs — A local Room SQLite database (battery_log_db) tracks battery levels, voltage, temperature, and charging status periodically to populate the 24-hour and 7-day health charts.

Network Requests

ANTAR makes exactly one type of network request to convert geographic coordinates into readable location names:

  • Endpoint — Google System Geocoder API (invoked over encrypted HTTPS/TLS).
  • Purpose — Resolving coordinate lines to display your current address in the Location screen.
  • Data Sent — Latitude and longitude values. No device IDs, user names, or package details are sent.
  • Data Shared — Coordinate details are transmitted directly to Google's system geocoding service and are never stored or logged by us.

Advertising & Monetisation

ANTAR is completely free, contains zero ads, and has no in-app purchases.

We do not bundle advertising SDKs (such as AdMob or Unity Ads), ensuring no tracking identifiers are processed or shared for monetization.

Children's Privacy

ANTAR is designed for a general audience and is rated Everyone. Because the app does not collect, store, or share any personal information from any user, it does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your Data Controls & Deletion

Because ANTAR holds no database records or details about you on any external servers, you have full local authority to erase all app information at any time:

Security

All network calls (such as Geocoder updates) use HTTPS (TLS) encryption. Local app data is protected by the Android sandbox, preventing other applications on your device from inspecting or reading ANTAR's files.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated if app permissions or code components change. The latest "Effective" date will be updated at the top of this document.
